How far in advance do I need to book with you?
I book up really fast for the following year so best practice is to book your wedding photography with me 6-12 months in advance.
How long have you been in business?
I have been in business since 2010.
How many weddings have you shot?
I have shot over 25+ weddings.
How would you describe your photography style?
My photography style is candid/photojournalistic and also traditional so you get the best of both worlds. I describe it as vibrant, full of color, and emotional.
How would you describe your working style?
I prefer to work more behind the scenes to capture the day how it truly happened and to document the smiles and the tears.
What do you think distinguishes your work from that of other photographers?
I not only give my couples their wedding photos but I give them a comfortable experience to be themselves and I create connections with them that last years. I plan on photographing some of my couple's lives for many years to come throughout all of their life events and I feel truly blessed to have come across the people I have as a result of my photography. Many of my best friends are brides I have shot.
What type of equipment do you use?
Just as you make the investment into my wedding photography, I also make an investment in providing you with the best quality images possible. In order to do that I have one of the industry's top cameras. Nikon D700 allows me to go anywhere from shooting outdoors in the bright sun all the way to a dimly lit reception hall. I have 4-6 different lenses to capture everything from closeup ring shots to the full venue. I also bring lights with me that can be used for fun lightflare effects during the first dance.
Can I give you a list of specific shots we would like?
Absolutely, keep in mind that I have shot many weddings so any specifics such as getting your first kiss together after your wedding will already be covered.
Can you put together an instant slideshow of the ceremony?
I strive to put up an instant slideshow of the days events during the reception if time permits.
Do wedding photographers require a meal?
Yes, anything over 5 hrs. of work I require a meal for me and also if I bring a 2nd shooter. Most catering companies you speak with offer different vendor meals from your traditional plate dinner.
What information do I need to provide you before the wedding day?
The information I like to have on hand is a timeline of the day's events, names of important people in the ceremony or family members and also the names of all of the vendors that are working on the particular wedding.
May I have a list of references?
I do have reviews set up on my website and also through wedding wire so I prefer those get checked out first but if you require additional references those can be provided.
Are you the photographer who will shoot my wedding? If so, will you have any assistants with you on that day? If not, who will be taking the pictures and can I meet them before my wedding?
I will be the primary photographer at your wedding. Unless there is an emergency I will always be the primary photographer and in that case if time permits you will be able to meet the photographer beforehand.
Do you have backup equipment? What about a backup plan if you are unable to shoot my wedding for some reason? I do have a backup camera and lenses in the event something happens to my primary camera. In the event that I am unable to shoot your wedding another photographer with the same exact style as me will be chosen to fill my place so someone will be there!
If my wedding site is out of your area, do you charge a travel fee and what does that cover?
If the wedding venue is more than 50 miles from me there is a travel fee of $1/mile and additional fees if it is out of state or country. Contact me today to inquire your destination or Colorado mountain wedding!
Are you photographing other events on the same day as mine?
When you book with me you are reserving your date and I will not book anything else on your date.
How will you (and your assistants) be dressed?
I dress professionally semi-formal to match the attire of the wedding guests.
Is it okay if other people take photos while youre taking photos?
I do not mind if family members and guests take photos during the wedding but per my contract I am the only allowed main photographer for your wedding and you may not hire another one during the same day.
Have you ever worked at my wedding site before? If not, do you plan to check it out in advance?
I have worked at many different wedding venues in Colorado but have not been to all of them. I always check out the venues beforehand and familiarize myself with lighting and possible shoot locations. I also get to know the wedding venue coordinators that will tell me anything else I may need to know.
What time will you arrive at the site and for how long will you shoot?
All of my packages offer full day wedding coverage, I usually arrive to capture getting ready and leave once the reception activities are over. This usually comes out to 8-10 hrs.
How long after the wedding will I get the proofs? Will they be viewable online? On a CD?
I deliver images up to 6-8 weeks after the wedding date. I put a preview on my blog in the first week after the wedding and then they will be viewable in an online proofing gallery.
How long after I order my photos/album will I get them?
I offer an album with all of my packages and it will arrive 6-8 weeks after your wedding date and if you order a disc of high res images that will take 90 days from the date of purchase.
Will you give me the digital images, and is there a fee for that?
I do offer digital images a la carte and you can contact me for my price list.
How much of a deposit do you require and when is it due? Do you offer a payment plan?
I require a $500 deposit in order to book your date and it is due at the time of booking. The rest of the amount is due 30 days before your wedding date.
Do you have liability insurance?
I do have day of liability insurance if the venue requires it.
